Wisdom teeth typically start growing in when a child enters their later teenage years. These teeth aren’t necessary for chewing function and can cause a lot more harm than good.
Wisdom teeth extraction is a common surgical procedure involving the removal of one or more teeth. Even though they may not be causing pain, they can cause future problems such as decay, gum infection, crowding and damage to the adjacent teeth. It is recommended to have your wisdom teeth removed at a younger age, since the healing process will be faster.
